Monochromatic Self Portrait - 4"x4", oil on wood

This was my first attempt at painting monochromatically. I only used raw umber and white for this. It was a lot harder than I was anticipating, and it took a lot of re-working in order to get it to look like I wasn't a cyborg or a shiny silver alien or something.

I do kind of like the old photograph feel to it. It's creepy.
