This is a drawing I started in preparation for a painting I am going to do. It's been awhile since I've done a fully modeled drawing - it's more fun than I remember! The pencil doesn't photograph well, but you get the idea...This is 5"x7", pencil on paper. I will be doing the painting the same size. Wish me luck!

This is cool! is it hard to draw yourself and hold a figure pose at the same time? I was thinking about doing something similar (not painting, since it would take me forever) since I have got lots of interesting sub-forms at the moment (ribs and such, as I lost some weight in France). Anyway, good work! I can't wait to see how it turns out.

This is really beautiful. This actually reminds me of some of the drawings of you in Tim's sketchbook in France, especially in the way you've treated the subtle forms around the belly, which I think are beautifully observed, and how you've drawn them really delicately. Would love to see more drawings. Look forward to seeing the painting.
