Dutch Harbor, 4"x6", oil on cradled board

This painting has a troubled past, since its creation last night. First, while getting in the car, Gary put his elbow right into the painting...luckily I was already planning on working on it back at home. Then, this morning, when I brought it outside to photograph it, I dropped it face down on the porch, and subsequently spent the next 20 minutes repainting it and picking out dust particles with tweezers. All before having any coffee. This photo doesn't accurately reflect the brightness of the colors, but at this point, I'm too scared to take it outside and try again!

Beautiful painting! Maybe the dirt will add character! :)
