Self Portrait Preparatory Drawing - Session 2

Sorry this pic isn't great, and there's a cast shadow from the easel - I will retake it later, but right now it's late and I'm tired.

I will probably spend one more night on this drawing, and then I may or may not turn this into a painting. Any opinions - yay or nay? I like the drawing, but it's kinda cold to be standing around my house naked, to be honest.

And yes, that is a bag of Cheetos.

This is a drawing I started in preparation for a painting I am going to do. It's been awhile since I've done a fully modeled drawing - it's more fun than I remember! The pencil doesn't photograph well, but you get the idea...

This is 5"x7", pencil on paper. I will be doing the painting the same size. Wish me luck!

I'm like, totally famous...

Okay, not really. But I have been the featured artist on a few blogs lately, so I thought I'd share! I was featured last month on Cuteable, and more recently on Able Mabel's blog. And I also just got accepted into the Wotartist gallery, which was listed as one of Time Magazine's 50 best websites of 2007. On a side note, Etsy was number 5 on that list!!

Work in Progress

Here is the painting I am currently working on. I decided to finally approach one of my biggest fears: printed fabric. Of course, I ended up choosing an insanely complicated, irregularly patterned, wrinkled silk scarf. (Slaps forehead) Here are photos of day one and two of the underpainting.
