Day Three of The Bather Painting

I spent more time on this during the third session, although like I said, it's hard to keep this mask on for two long (it was probably about three hours for this session). I'm hoping to finish the face quickly so I can move on the the body and hands and I won't have to put the mask on every time for that!

Day Two of The Bather Painting

Worked a short session on this - keeping this mask on for too long hurts my face!

Day One of The Bather painting

First day of form painting! Yay! I think it is going well so far - I was worried about having to integrate the green mask and have it read correctly, but so far it's been a little easier than I thought. And it's fun too!

Preliminary Drawing for The Bather

This is the preliminary drawing for my latest (and largest!) painting. I sort of stopped at a weird place in the drawing, so the modeling looks a little strange - but I basically just wanted a jumping off point for the painting.

I just opened up a shop on Artfire, which is a new handmade site. I'm excited to be getting in on the ground floor of this new site - so check it out!

Study for The Bather - 4x4 inches, oil on wood panel

I have to admit, I'm totally in love with how this study came out, and I'm super excited about doing a large scale version of it! I started the preliminary drawing today, so stay tuned!

The Prisoner II - 4x4 inches, Oil on Cradled Board

Another recently finished little painting. It was very difficult to get my reflection in the same spot every time, which made the drawing aspect quite challenging.
